Happy Birthday (a week and a half ago) Cecilia!!
Cecilia turned 7 last Sunday and celebrated by inviting a few friends over for a Mardi Gras-themed party - they decorated masks, ate king cake, and threw beads at each other. It was QUITE the fun party, especially the part where they all went outside and checked for eggs (this is a big highlight for the kids who visit who don't have their own chickens, and I'm ALL for taking advantage of their enthusiasm!).
Right now she's most excited about preparing for her first Confession and her First Holy Communion (March and May, respectively). We've been spending lots of time reading the Catechism and various other sacramental prep books, and also talking about different dress styles and veil styles. I mean really, how could you not?
Cecilia ADORES sewing, cooking, reading, and climbing trees. She's amazing with babies, and will happily put Peter to bed if I bribe her with candy. She's proven to be quite the math whiz this year in school, and has been begging to do more narration than just her required Aesop. I hope you have a Cecilia of your own!
